ITHACA, N.Y. – Please join us for our kick-off the 2025 fall Equine Seminar Series with “A Horse’s Gut Journey: Understanding Colic One Stop at a Time.: The presenter is Barbara Delvescovo, DVM, DACVIM, DACVECC. She graduated in Italy and worked for several years in equine practice in Ireland, managing Thoroughbred racehorses in training, broodmares, and sick foals. Dr. Delvescovo joined Cornell in 2017, where she first completed specialized training in Large Animal Medicine, followed by a residency in Emergency and Critical Care. Her primary interests include critical care, colic, and neonatology.

This seminar is part of the Cornell Equine Seminar Series, and will be presented on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Eastern Time via Zoom. Please register in advance.

The Cornell Equine Seminar Series is presented by the Cornell Equine Hospital and Cornell Cooperative Extension. Held monthly, equine experts present on important equine health and management topics. The event is free and open to the public. Media members are asked to register with Len Johnson at Len.Johnson@Cornell.edu.
