DESCRIPTION:Our Horsemanship 101 is perfect for those new to horses, returning after a 
 long break or trying to overcome fear, or those who would like a brief intr
 oduction to Monty Roberts’ methods.<br /><br />Now offered as a one-day cou
 rse, Horsemanship 101 is also recommended for visitors and residents who wo
 uld like to experience a day at Flag Is Up Farms.<br /><br />Classroom disc
 ussion will provide an introduction to how horses think and behave, while p
 ractical sessions will teach you how to approach, halter, lead, groom and m
 ove safely around a horse. You will learn the basic concept behind Monty Ro
 berts’ Dually® halter and after watching Join-Up® demonstrations, will expe
 rience a guided round pen session to feel the power of inter-species commun
 ication.<br /><br />Topics include:<br /><br />Non-violent approach to work
